RAPCO2
The problem
Every year, in the United States alone, $60 billion is lost due to what experts call Sick Building Syndrome, a condition caused by increased indoor pollutants, particularly CO2. This same CO2 is devastating our planet, and capturing it from the air will become crucial in the coming years to complete the energy transition and prevent the climate crisis. Capturing this pollutant is essential, as is the possibility of reusing it. Unfortunately, direct air capture (DAC) currently has energy costs too high to produce economically viable chemical compounds. CO2 is rising, the world is warming, and the growing urban population is spending more time indoors (sheltered by struggling air conditioners). We need an economically viable solution that can be implemented rapidly.
Our Solution
The RAPCO2 solution is a low-energy chemical-biological process capable of capturing CO2 from both the air and point sources and converting it into completely carbon-neutral compounds. RAPCO2 captures CO2, particularly in indoor environments, through two main products: BlueLeaf, ideal for small businesses, shops, and offices, and eJungle, for large companies and shopping centres. The key innovation of our technology is that regeneration of the capture materials (the energy-intensive process in DAC) is carried out using a patented biological reactor that actively extracts CO2 to produce valuable chemical compounds, without energy consumption. RAPCO2 technology enables us to adapt to climate change while simultaneously mitigating it. We are committed to protecting the environment by creating sustainable solutions for the future.
