An Associate Professor at the University of Bologna, Cristian Torri is the creator of the patent on which RAPCO2 is based. He addresses issues such as climate change, waste, thermochemical transformations, plastics, and more through a new lean and vertical research method. This innovative approach, which blends analytical understanding with design and learning-by-doing , breaking down barriers between disciplines, as the RAPCO2's trademark.

A postdoc at the University of Bologna, Andrea Facchin is co-author of the patent on which RAPCO2 is based. He earned his PhD in 2025 in "The Future of the Earth, Climate Change, and Societal Challenges." He conducts research aimed at understanding and solving environmental problems in various fields, where he has developed unique skills in prototyping and automating new processes and analytical instruments. Equally at home in the lab and on the shop floor, he appreciates the world between circuit board pins and software lines. Co-CEO and CTO, he is the driving force behind the development of RAPCO2's commercial products.

Alessandro Venturini is the business developer of RAPCO2, with extensive management experience in sustainable projects, particularly in the field of biomethane production from fermentation plants. Co-CEO with entrepreneurial experience, he is a passionate fan of industrial ecology. He leads RAPCO2 to think big, without limitations of scale or application.

A freelance lawyer specializing in the application of Legislative Decree 231/01 in the energy and major risks sectors, he has worked with groups such as EP Produzione and E.ON. He brings to RAPCO2 all the key legal experience needed to navigate the complex landscape of permits and liabilities that characterizes the energy and fuel production sector smoothly and confidently.

A PhD student at the University of Bologna, she works on advanced chemical analyses of complex matrices, both in fermentative and abiotic systems.

A PhD student at the University of Bologna, she works on acidogenic fermentation systems fed with gaseous substrates, in particular CO2 and syngas fermentation.

Research fellow at the University of Bologna, he is an expert in composite materials for gas fermentation, in particular hybrid materials based on biochar.
