Founder and CSO
Cristian Torri
An Associate Professor at the University of Bologna, Cristian Torri is the creator of the patent on which RAPCO2 is based. He actively pursued for solutions for various issues such as climate change, waste, thermochemical transformations, plastics, and more through a new lean and vertical research method. This innovative approach, which blends analytical understanding with design and learning-by-doing , breaking down barriers between disciplines, becomes the RAPCO2 hallmark.

Founder and CTO
Andrea Facchin
A postdoc at the University of Bologna, Andrea Facchin is co-author of the patent on which RAPCO2 is based. He earned his PhD in 2025 in "The Future of the Earth, Climate Change, and Societal Challenges." He conducts research aimed at understanding and solving environmental problems in various fields, where he has developed unique skills in prototyping and automating new processes and analytical instruments. As lab desk and workshop floor are both confortable for him, he appreciates the world between circuit board pins and software lines. CTO of RAPCO2, he is the driving force behind the development of RAPCO2's commercial products.

CEO
Alessandro Venturini
Alessandro Venturini is the Business Developer of RAPCO2, bringing with him extensive managerial experience in the development and management of sustainable projects, particularly in the field of biomethane production from fermentation plants. A Co-CEO with an entrepreneurial background, he is a true enthusiast of industrial ecology. He drives RAPCO2 to think big, without limitations in scale or application.

Legal and Permitting
Fabio Gandini
An independent attorney specialized in the application of Legislative Decree 231/01, with a focus on the energy sector and large-scale industrial risk, he has collaborated with groups such as EP Produzione and E.ON. He brings to RAPCO2 the essential legal expertise needed to navigate effectively and securely the complex landscape of regulations, authorizations, and liabilities that characterize energy and fuel production.
